ArchT Steel

Steel

The Steel command allows you to create 2D steel shapes for:

  • Angles (L)
  • Channels
  • Pipes
  • S Beams
  • Tubing
  • W Beams

You can select from a table of standard sizes for each shape.

Note: The standard sizes for each shape are contained in an external text file. You can modify this file if desired. Refer to the ArchT Customization Guide for information on modifying defaults files.

Grip Editing Steel Objects

ArchT creates steel shapes as objects. When you grip edit a steel object, ArchT resizes it to the next size in the table the object actually "behaves" like steel. Use the different grip points to change dimensions such as width, height, and web thickness. Note that you can explode steel objects into polylines.
